i know this seems to be a common problem, and i'm not sure that it's the brakes, but i get a squeel when rolling at 30-35 mph, and also a little bit while braking. only 25,000 miles, is it already time to change, or is there something else??

The brakes on the trucks suck. I had to replace my front pads and rotors at 20K. There have been a lot of problems regardless of driving habits.

My front rotors were replaced at about 10,000 miles under warranty because they warped. The replacements haven't shown signs of warping yet. I have about 12,000 miles on the replacement rotors.

If the pads/rotors are good all you need to do is take it apart, clean everything up, regrease the slides, and reassemble. Alot of times they just get gunked up and don't slide right, then squeak. Or the pads come loose from the caliper. Mine did that right after I bought the truck with only 14-15k. Pads were fine but the slides were all dirty. I cleaned them up and no more squeak.
Nature of the design I guess. Roll Eyes
