I went camping this weekend, and something went wrong on the way home. I was driving at highway speed, when I heard "something" from the front left wheel. I can only describe it as a screeching. The rest of the way, I felt an intermittent grinding in the front left. No too long after the noise started, my Brake/ABS light went on. I went out a little while after I got home, and when I was leaving the parking lot, I heard a loud screeching at low speed. I don't feel comfortable driving at this point because of the noise, so I left it there.

Any ideas?

I would start by either crawling under it and see if you can see anything broken or loose or jack it up and see if anything is broken

I did crawl under to see if there was anything obvious, and nothing was glaring out at me. As a matter of fact, the first thing that sprang to mind was that, maybe I hit something in the road, and it bent my brake dust shield, that's what the noise sounds like, a metal on metal screeching.

Try jacking it up and spining the tire by hand and see if you can get it to make the noise and then you can narrow it down by trying to hear wear it is coming from. you might have threw a rock up and broke something or by some strange ocurance have a rock stuck somewhere.
