So I got my srt10 rear axle installed and all buttoned up. Bled the brakes,right rear first then left rear. Everything seems fine. Brakes work good. The only thing different is the brake pedal seems very low now. Almost goes to the floor. Any ideas how to get it up (insert your own joke here).

iagree You're not getting enough pressure in the system. Check fluid level but it sounds like ya still got some air trapped in there.

Do I have to bleed all 4 corners, or just the back? Would it have anything to do with the ABS?

Im no expert, but it couldnt hurt to do all four just to be safe.


Current mods:

Exterior: 2003 RC short bed Ram. Chrome 20" Motto wheels, 275/55/20 Bridgestone Duelers, tint, functional SRT-10 Hood, Street Scene bumper cover, de-chromed and painted rear bumper, body matched grill shell, mirrors, door handles, tailgate handle and antenna mount, billet grill and bumper inserts, Bushwhacker street fender flares, polished "Ram" 3rd brake light cover. Snuglid tonneu cover with a bedrug.

Engine: Flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust, 3rd Strike dual filter with throttle body spacer.

Audio: Alpine 9885 with IPod, Infiniti Reference 3.5", 5.25" and 6x9's, two Kenwood DVC 12" subs with three Kenwood amps running it all through Monster Cable wiring. Optima red-top.

Interior: Suede headliner, color matched A&B pillars, overhead console, and rear light surround.

like i told ya lol do all four and bleed each one about 4-5 times be very careful when timing the pedal with opening and closing the bleeder valve, crack it let someone push the pedal and as soon as it hits the floor close the valve, then repeat that step about 5 times per caliper starting with right rear, left rear, right front, then left front, when you take the lines off that valve it bleeds out more than you think especially if you let it sit for a while.

OK. Bled all 4 corners as instructed. Still a soft pedal. Had 2 friends do it again in case I was doing something wrong. Getting a solid stream of fluid from each corner, no bubbles. Still have a soft pedal. Would it have anything to do with the ABS or larger rear brakes or both? I am at a loss. I guess my next move is a brake shop. Any ideas?
