The other day I noticed a spot on my driveway, I thought my steering stabilizer had gone away, so asked my neighbor if he could check things out for me, come to find out it is rack that is leaking. You will like this, I went down to the dealer to see if it was covered, and they said yes. So they looked at it and came back and told me that is was going to be more than my $100 deductable, because I had interfance and added mods. I have two stabiizers and you have to take about 2 inches off the tie rod and rethread it because of the knuckle. (I have a 4 inch lift) Counting evrything $500, the new part if I wae going to buy it through them was $611. I went back to the shop that I have been using since I got the truck lifted and they told me they could do the whole thing parts, labor, and aglianment for $450. Needless to say I'm having it done this monday, the dealership also told me that this was a comon problem with these trucks, only have 64,000 on it. You got to love the DEALERS!!!!

There are big problems with the racks in all the truck lineup! I just wish they would fix like do a recall and change the maker to a better company!!

I had the same thing a few years ago on my 04. My truck is a 2wd though,but,I had 2 inch drop springs on it for 18 months prior. They actually covered the whole thing under warranty. I think they messed up my alignment(one of my tires were wearing on the inside-a common toe issue)-but,I didn't want to push my luck,so,I had a shop align it.
