OK..did lots of reading here, seems like there are a "number" of causes, so thought I'd get opinions on my starting point-
Vibrations at hiway speeds, noticeable bed vibrations. Rotated tires (stock GY crap), no change. Want to change the stock steering shock-any recommendations for replacement? Violent shudder/vibrations at hi speed when braking hard, so figured I'd change the stock rotors & pads. Anything else to try?

I similar issues. Not so much a bad vibration except when I hit a big bump or abrupt dip in the road above 50mph, then the front end would wobble and the steering wheel would shake side to side. I would also get a side to side shake in the wheel and a pulse in brakes when I hit the brakes. I replaced the rotors, no difference. Although I couldn't not find any play or problems with the bearings, I replaced them and no more problems.
