I had my truck up to a pretty hi rate of speed on a smooth hiway last week and the result was the whole thing rocking like a boat on waves. It didn't start til I hit 115mph. Could it be I'm in need of new shocks or a suspension upgrade?

so... you are saying it, a 5500lb truck, started rocking front to back, when driven above 115mph? lol.. sorry if i find humor in this.. but.. well.. it's a truck.

new shocks may help (depending on road)
new suspension "upgrade"??? lowering it may help some.. but doubt it... it's not, nor ever will be a sports car. It, being a truck, has lots of suspension travel to accommodate it's weight, and carrying capacity... that travel is what causes the feeling of rocking on certain pavement types... either find a different road, or not drive that fast. I'll definitely find a different road. I had the needle buried on a smooth road in Nebraska, I should've taken a pic but was kinda busy. That's what my intentions were the other day but the rockin kinda freakd me out and slowed me down.

FYI the tag says 6650lbs.lol I know it isnt a sports car but its built for comfort and speed. Stock mph is set to cut off at 106mph. Too slow for me, speedo reads 120 I think that's what it should be capable of.(and more)

My salvage sitle said 4850 without one torsion bar, driver side front axle, and the spindle, so I doubt if mine hits 5k without me in it. RC LB, so yea, 6650 is not really a possiblity inluss it includes 5 people sitting in the truck?

But thats kind've regardless here, at 115 mph the wind resistance would be insane on a flat nosed truck, if the wind conditions were different from your other time, that could be all the difference.

You are probably referring to your G.V.W.R., which would be the max LOADED weight of your truck. (The weight of your truck + passengers + anything in the bed)

i think lowering it a little from stock would help, but it would still be a truck. and yes it does suck when i top out at 106, sometimes you just need to go faster

My '05 QC weighs in at constant 6025lbs at the dump empty (with me in it). That's with a 6" lift and 35" tires though. Still was able to hit 110 with a little left to go. Just ran out of road! Definetly wasn't like doing high speed runs in my old Mustang though. 110 feels like 150 when you're sitting up that high! I don't recall any rocking and rolling though in my truck.
