Found out I have a bad upper ball joint on my 03 2500 5.7L that only has 42000 on it. Anyway I''ll get to my question. Looked around today at the local Murray's, Auto Zone, Advance Auto parts stores for a Moog replacement. Well none could locate a new one for me. Can anyone tell me if the offset "#K7448 " is the one to get? Advance is tell me the offset is the correct one to get. I can't imagine is is because it looks completely different than the one I took out of the truck which is straight. And is this is correct. Do I have to get a alignment after putting this offset on in?
Anyone have the correct moog part number so I can order one Tuesday? Meanwhile my truck is up one the stands til next week.. Thanks in advance? |

Factory ball joints do not allow for camber adjustment. Some replacements are adjustable, and as such look offset before installed. Yes, you will need to align after, and I would replace both uppers anyway if you add adjustable joints.
