Not long ago my dad passed away and now I have his Hemi.
2004 1500 Reg Cab
After driving it a while I've noticed it rides pretty rough. Any little dip, crack or hole in the road is felt throughout the cab and seats. So it basically rides like a dang dump truck..lol

I see a lot of folks are getting Bilstein shocks and/or some springs.
Will this help my ride any?
I also notcie some wheel shudder on some bumps.
Is this from bad shocks or something else?
Thanks for any help with this.

sorry to hear about your pops.

how many miles on the truck? 17" wheels, or 20's, 2wd, or 4wd?

if it still has the factory shocks.... just about ANY shock will feel better then them. Bilsteins, Edlebrock IAS (what i run), and Belltech are the three most popular... Check to make sure the tires are aired up to the recommend pressure (check inside drivers door seal). After that.. i would start checking suspension parts for wear. Ball joints are a bad problem on "some" of the Rams. Mine has 97K on it, and have never needed to be replaced.

I would think that any quality shocks would help out our rie situation. At 60K your springs are more that ikely OK,unless your father regularly over loaded the truck or drove it over extremely ruff terrain on a regular basis.

Dodge trucks are just that, TRUCKS. Not cars with a pickup box like some of the other manufacturers. When they are empty they ride rough and are a little skittish on washboard. Throw a little weight in it. It will improve the ride and costs you nothing.
