I would say 150 is the highest you should go. a 200 shot and your pistons won't last long before you hear a big boom or bang from under the hood.

If you wanna run a 150 shot, I would say you need cai, exhaust, superchips, 180 tstat, and colder plugs. NGK 4306 are really good. You may not even need the cai or exhaust but it would be nice to have before getting on the bottle. Superchips will be used to pull timing and to help with your shift points. 180 tstat and colder plugs should help to prevent detenation. Good luck dude! Have fun and don't blow up that motor! Thanks for all the info guys! I really appreciate it!

What exactly is superchips?? and how much do they go for? im only familiar with the diablosport so my knowledge of other tuners is limited....

If its cheaper than the diablesport then i will buy it. And do any of you know where i can but a 150shot capable NOS kit from? with the throttle plate & 15lb bottle for a good price?

Thanks!

Superchips makes tuners. In my opinion the best one for bolt-on mods. If you are going to buy one get the Flashpaq model 3865.

I think there are two Superchips tuners out there now for the 04s. the old one is 3815 that is no longer updateable. Meaning any updates that Superschips comes out with your tuner will not be capable of getting those updates. But the new one is the 3865 and it comes with all the updates the 3815 was ever able to get and it is capable of getting the newest updates they come out with. You can find a used 3815 in the classifieds all the time, prices ranging from $150-$300. Brand new they run $350-$400 if I am not mistaken.

And checkout nitrousoutlet.com for some good prices. Here is a kit for our trucks with the plate and a 15 lb bottle for $694.99.

As far as the nitrous goes stick to a 100 shot. 125 is OK if you have all the right items ( colder plugs, good tune ) 150 is OK also but you have to have everything right. 200 shot is a No-No unless you have a better bottom end and a major tune.
Since you may be new to nitrous go with the Zex kit, safest you can get and easy to hook up. Go with NGK 4306 plugs and a Superchips set on 87 tune and run 93 octane gas. With that you can run a 125 shot all day.

Good luck

i totally, agree,i run the zex kit and while i have run the 125 shot i keep the 100 jets in it 99 percent of the time.if you like your hemi, dont put a 200 hp shot on it,thats too much for cast pistons and stock rings.
