Im looking to run the zex truck kit on my 04 hemi, but trying to keep things under control and watch whats going on. Just woundring what gauges you guys are running and were did you mount them? Anyone have a pod that goes under the radio in that little cubbie? Also as far a widebands, the zex kit says it makes sure it never spays to lean/rich so would i still need to run a wideband, its kinda a big junk of change? just looking for advise thanks

I never seen a pod for under the radio and I don't suggest that placement for being out of site, you want the gauges in front of you so you can watch the road and the gauges at the same time.

This is my setup.

N20 control panel, W/B, Fuel Press and N20 Press.

Overhead console is made by AutoMeter.

As far as being safe....oh yeah the gauges are not cheap, neither is a new engine...

D500, thats a very nice setup you have on your truck, your overhead gauges look factory. One more q, why would i want to run a wideband over a air/fuel gauge? thanks

i have the pod for under the radio, it's made by autometer. i still havent installed it, but stick with a pillar pod if you plan on looking at the gauges while driving. i have nitrous pressure, pyrometer, and a wideband in my pillar.

a wideband is an air/fuel gauge, and you want a wideband air/fuel gauge as opposed to a narrowband because then you can see what your air/fuel ratio is, rather than just a rich/lean reading. your lean reading could be 15.5:1 or it could be 20:1, and a wideband gauge is the way to keep an eye on it.

I have the under radio gauge pod but no nitrous gauges to monitor anything. They are SOOO expensive! An engine is too but I weight the fact that I will most likely be looking at the road and not my gauges anyway.
I try to be as safe as possible
1. make sure N2o Preassure is good on bottle gauge.
2. fuel preassure should be good ( wish I did have that gause ).
3. Don't run a big shot ( 100 is enogh for me )
4. Make sure my tune is OK and hat I am running 93 octane.

I worry more about the fuel selinoid leaking and fuel pooling in the intake and going "BOOM" more then I do running lean. I have seen three cars this spring go BOOM cause the selinoids had gone bad from lack of use over the winter.
Good Luck

for $50.00 you can buy a fuel pressure safety switch that will not let your nitrous turn on if the fuel pressure drops below your preset #s.its much safer than a guage,by the time you see your guage nosdrop because your fuel pump went out its too late for your engine.
