Instuction for V Gauge ---> http://www.trickperformanceproducts....nual_ver_d.pdf

V is the only gauge in the world that can answer that age old question that has been asked for decades, “How much nitrous do I have left in the tank?” Its computer processor core can calculate how much nitrous you are using and how much is left when done. It is the world's first and only gauge that is completely graphical and digital, with state of the art computer screen display. Its fully programmable system can work on any nitrous system from single stage simple systems up to dual stage progressive systems; even the purge usage is calculated. You simply program the unit to your nitrous system. V is not just a gauge it’s a controller as well. V can; control the heater, shut the nitrous system down; if you are running lean or low on nitrous or fuel pressure. A warning flash will let you know you have a problem and where that problem is. V will tell you, your nitrous pressure, fuel pressure or O2 reading, if the heater is on or off, nitrous level in % form, and nitrous level in color bar graph form. The full color graphic display allows you to control and monitor your nitrous system with just a quick glance at the face. You have 3 main viewing screens to choose from with just a push of the control button. Fits any 2 1/16 gauge pod. You also get to choose your bottles color with in the display.

Vcan take the place of :

• 1 Nitrous Pressure Gauge

• 1 Nitrous Pressure Shut Down Switch

• 1 Nitrous Heater Toggle Switch

• 1 Fuel Pressure Gauge

• 1 Fuel Pressure Safety Switch or FPSS

• 1 Air/Fuel Gauge (Instead of Fuel Pressure Gauge/ FPSS)

• 1 Air/Fuel Shut Down Switch (turns nitrous system off if running lean or rich requires a wideband with programmable output)

• 1 Heater Control Pressure Switch

• 1 Digital Bottle Weighing Scale

*Pressure sensors are required for any pressure reading, and for heater control feature to work.

Very cool, I got curious and googled it a little further (more so I could find somewhere that it was dummied down a bit for me,lol).

The prices I found were MSRP:

The V Gauge $375
The P Gauge $399

The info:

THE V GAUGE.
Out of the box this gauge will offer the following fuctions.
1.NITROUS VOLUME USAGE.

2.AIR/FUEL READING. (Plugs into your wide band)

3.NITROUS SYSTEM SHUT OFF. (Shuts nitrous system of in relation to air/fuel readings)

4.Bottle Pressure gauge(Requires you buying sensor # SHP-1500- $60.75)

5.Nitrous Shut off ( You have to be using option #4 with the sensor for this to work. If bottle pressure is to high system relay will not triger)

OK,
Now that we see what it does out of the box lets talk about add on features. You are allowed to monitor one pressure using all the features that the gauge offers out of the box. This pressure has to be bottle pressure. If you do not have a wideband and do not need the gauge to be used as a wideband gauge you can use the gauge to monitor two pressures instead of one. So now you can add a second pressure to monitor. All the add on features require you buying the needed pressure switch.

Here are your pressure other options.
1.FUEL PRESSURE

2.OIL PRESSURE

3.MAP PRESSURE

4.A SECOND NITROUS PRESSURE

5.WATER/COOLANT TEMP

6.OTHER (any other pressure option you may need)

NOW THE P GAUGE.
Out of the box the P GAUGE offers alot of options.

1.PROGRESSIVE CONTROLLER ( Multipoint ramping with RPM and Time base options)

2. SHIFT LIGHT

3.WINDOW SWITCH

4.TPS ACTIVATION SWITCH

5.FIRST GEAR LOCK OUT/DELAY OPTION (Aids in traction limitied applications)

6.AIR/FUEL READING (Plugs into your wideband)

Ok now that we have went over what the gauge does out of the box lets go over add on features. The P gauge is designed so that if you have a digital out put wideband such as the new FJO series you can use the built in digital input that the gauge has. This now free's up a area giving you the option of adding a pressure to monitor. (You will need to buy the needed pressure switch)

Pressures you can monitor are.
1.FUEL PRESSURE

2.OIL PRESSURE

3.MAP PRESSURE

4.NITROUS PRESSURE

5.WATER/COOLANT TEMP

6.OTHER (any other pressure option you may need)

These look very cool. I think you might need a masters degree to program the thing.

I'm thinking of installing a nitrous system (nitrous outlet's plate system) and I was reading installation instructions for the P gauge/controller and the FJO widebands and I'm a little confused.

Up to 8 FJO's can be connected together using the digital data bus and there are 2 terminators for the data bus, one at the beginning and one at the end. When you connect the P gauge to the data bus (I'm assuming it goes in at the beginning) does the "beginning" terminator now connect to the P gauge or does it stay with the first wideband unit?

When programming the P gauge, you select digital and then how many widebands it needs to look for (say you choose 2 FJO's one for each exhaust manifold). Is the gauge/controller monitoring both or is it using FJO's leanest channel mode and using the leanest channel for the Rich/Lean cut out? If it uses the leanest channel method should one be concerned that there could be a significant difference between both sides and thus not really be able to cut out nitrous due to a too rich condition?

I really like this P gauge/controller setup and will be giving both companies a call next week to ask but I thought someone here might have used one of these already and could share their experience. If not I'll let you know what I find out. Also, in reading the posts here it seems that using superchip's 87 level with 91+ gas is the common method (along with colder plugs re-gapped). Should running the economy level of the edge programmer be somewhat the same as sc's 87 level? I'll be calling edge next week to confirm the economy level timing but wanted to know anyone's thoughts.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
