Maybe this will help?

Located on top of the assembly. Tap into the
2nd wire back from the firewall.

White with a brown trace.

Helpful hint: DO NOT charge the nitrous system or connect the fuel when in the learn mode on the NMU.

Do not start the truck when calibrating the TPS
sensor.

All you need is to calibrate for wide open throttle. It may take a couple of times before it works correctly.

man,i went out and found the wire,it was the white one i hope.that thing is impossible to get to with both hands, and those splice connectors they sent with the kit are worthless

Yeah it's not very easy to get to. If you want to tap into the TPS wire I noticed a sticky thread at the top of the Nitrous performance page. I just noticed it, that may help. Those splice connectors do suck, I bought different ones from the hardware store.

yeah,i saw that thread,it said above the gas pedal, but for some reason i had it in my head it was on the outside of the firewall.it has to come out somewhere but that thread did warn not to tap in at the tb,but it didnt say why.ive seen several pics of the connector and one descrbed it as being under the battery tray.that may have been a different model. but i just always assumed it was under the hood.the zex instructions should provide this info but were very vaige.thanks again for putting me on the right track.i weigh 315 lbs so even with the seat back all the way it was a tight fit and no matter how i twisted my arms around ,i could not get a two hand grip on those wires.but after about an hour of fighting it i finally got it spliced and taped. lol.the last time i installed n2o was on a carburated mustang it was a breeze, took me about 2 hours.ive been workingon this kit for nearly 2 days[afternoons]and still am not through.

tapping into the wire on the gas pedal is the wrong thing to do. you're taking your WOT reading from the accelerator pedal position sensor, which is the desired throttle position and not the actual throttle position. the only true wide open throttle reading is going to come from the throttle position sensor on the throttle body. you can have your foot to the floor but the pcm makes the call on what actually happens with the throttle blade. if you have an etc (electronic throttle control) fault and the pcm cuts power to the etc motor and the throttle closes, since your foot is still to the floor and the nitrous system is still getting the WOT signal from your apps, you're still shooting in nitrous and fuel and therefore brewing up a massive problem if the throttle opens again or you get an intake backfire.

my guess would be because the author doesn't know what they're talking about.

That's a good observation, I didn't think of that. Looks like I'll be doing a little rewiring this week.

the instructions are misleading, the throttle position sensor is different than the throttle body position sensor.its unlikley the tb would close with the pedal down, but it could happen, and if it did it would definatley be catastrophic.im taking no chances.which wire on the tb did you say was correct?the red with yellow stripe?

there is no throttle body position sensor, just the throttle position sensor, and it's located in the throttle body. on my 04 it's a brown wire with an orange stripe.
