Are your fingers in good shape? There are several threads in this Section about "how to's". For most of us the best way is to using fishing line like a saw, between the badge and the truck. That takes the badge off and wont hurt the paint. Getting the sticky off afterward is the PITA. I used GooGone and lots of rubbing to get the rest off. It will make your fingers sore, but wont hurt the paint and unless your truck paint has really faded you can't tell where it was. A little polish and it should be good as new.

If you can find it try air craft adhesive remover hardly any rubbing required but whatever you do do not use anything to scrap it off I used a plastic scraper and but lots of light scratches on it

Might sound crazy, but whats the best fishing line? mono? braid? or flurocarbon? I figure some might cut more than others...What have people tried and what works best?

I like to use a good 10lb test with a 8 ounce sinker. I also use the Carolina rig.
Really I had a rod in my truck bed with 10 lb cheap line and used it.

I think i used 8 lb flurocarbon and kept breaking. If I ever do it again I'll prob use my Big Game.
Also buy an eraser wheel from part store. It attaches to electric drill. Take the glue right off. 15-20 dollars. I think it worth it.
