YES?
NO?

So, well NOW she tells me the CD player is acting up and not working correctly.
well..........IF she would have let me purchase a new head unit for her back on V-Day she would not have this problem.

so i shall start looking, but of course, we need to get moved back into house first Wink .

but hey. gives me something to look for while at work Big Grin

Alpine is my A number one choice, will start looking there, and dang the price aint' bad, I remember back when, i had to spend $300 just to get a decent one.

I agree, I'd look at Ebay first. Pioneer has some very nice entry level decks in the $120-160 range that I would recommend. Put Pioneers in both my '89 S10 and '87 C10 and after I built both 350's I put competition level systems in each without the first problem.

I have purchased from Crutchfield several times over the years, I have always had great service from them every time. I personally would not purchase from anywhere else.

I've spent way too much money at Crutchfield. eBay is good somethings, but no electronics for me.. The reason I say that, is because my first DVD Navi came from eBay. I paid $1000 instead of $1400 for it. When I got it, I had Best Buy install, and all was good, until about a week or two, one of my channels blew. I didn't buy it from an "Authorized" online retailer, so I just had to suck it up. My truck was broken into, and that was one of the things that was stolen.

From Crutchfield you will get mounting brackets and wiring adapters with HU purchases. Some speaker purchases will also include adapters. You may find things cheaper elsewhere but you won't get those little extras and their great customer service. Don't get me wrong, I purchase things off of eBay too, but for home or car electronics Crutchfield is the winner hands down!!!

Love Crutchfield, been using them since 1993. Have bought numerous head units, speakers and an amp from them in the past. Never a problem, top notch customer and technical service.

SWEET!!! great feed back guys, thanks.

i had purchased some speakers many many years back from them but nothing since.

looking at this one right now we do not have a Ipod or MP3 player but am thinking of it. tired of screwing with CD's in the truck. and with over 400 cds at the house we don't get to listen to all of them. Frowner

but get this (and keep this under your hat) i fixed the problem with her CD player, she told me it was 'skipping'... well she had the RAND play button pushed but did not know it. i turend it off and everthing is fine.

except i noticed sometimes it wont eject the CD.
so well Time for a new head anywway. Big Grin

Crutchfield has been my go-to for stereo's for years. Great service, fast shipping, no bs. they even do returns fast. great part is their prices are close to any other retailers plus it's usually free shipping and they include wiring harnesses, install kits, instructions, etc.

There are far better online retails for price than Crutchfield. Crutchfiels sells for MSRP 95% of the time. How you do think they can give all the harnesses and stuff away for free? The harnesses and install kits can usually be found at Wal-Mart for cheap.

For example: Kenwood x993 $350 at Crutchfield. $259 at woofersect.com.

Just food for thought. Not dissing Crutchfield and I use their measurements often. However, I just got burned by their website. They state 6.5 woofers for the rear doors in a '05 with Infinity. WRONG..they are 5.25. Hey, no one can be perfect 100% of the time. Smiler
