can i put 4 inch speakers in the dash. i know there supposed to be 3.5s but i just happened to get some 4 inchers for free so i was wondering if it would be possible.

They might fit, won't use the factory mounting points though. The other problem may be the contours of the dash not allowing them to anchor securely or the magnets not fitting in the openings. I would pop the dash cover off and just drop them in to see how they sit and if they will fit.

If you have to start cutting and bending to make the 'free' speakers work, how much time will you have invested. You can get a good set of 3.5" for $50 and they drop right in. I have made many errors in judgement doing just this and learned spending a little is usually worth it.
